A couple together at a game
Chapter Two · 13 Years

Thousands of you in here on my phone.

And somehow I still don't have enough. Every ridiculous selfie, every trip, every date night, every ordinary Tuesday — proof that my favorite story has always been us.

We never really did boring. We did ballparks, ferris wheels, scooters, paint nights, road trips, overdressed dinners, under-planned adventures… and a truly unreasonable number of selfies.

Same team.
Every season.

We have worn a lot of colors, cheered for a lot of teams, and somehow managed to make the seats beside each other the best ones in the house.

Couple in Boise State gear
Blue turf energy. Zero subtlety.
Couple at a baseball game
Baseball, sunshine, and my favorite seatmate.
Couple outdoors together
Still choosing the seat next to you.
“Not some perfectly filtered love story. Ours.”
And I wouldn't trade it

Dates got weird.
We got better.

Some couples do dinner. We apparently decided paint-covered aprons, scooters, travel, and making faces at the camera counted as romance. Turns out we were right.

Couple painting together
Proof we can make art. Results may vary.
Couple at a painting studio
Wine + Design + questionable artistic confidence.
Couple riding scooters
Responsible adults. Obviously.

A few thousand favorites.

Couple dressed up together
Different year. Same look that says, “we're probably about to cause trouble.”
Couple at dinner
The dressed-up chapter. We clean up suspiciously well.
Couple smiling together
Somewhere between the plans and the chaos, this became home.
Couple on a ferris wheel
Up high, away from everything, still exactly where I wanted to be.
For Maggie

I'd choose you again.

We've changed hairstyles, cities, clothes, careers, plans — and probably our minds a thousand times. Through every version of us, I still look over and think, “Yep. Still her.”

You're still the person I want beside me when something amazing happens, and the person I want beside me when absolutely nothing is happening.

For the adventures. The hard years. The victories. The family we've built. The inside jokes nobody else understands. The ridiculous moments we absolutely should have known better than to document.

And somehow you keep choosing me too — which either proves true love exists or that you're incredibly committed to a decision you made years ago.

Either way, I'm keeping you.

September 21 · Us

13 years down.
Forever to cause trouble.

To the moon and back still doesn't quite cover it.
